About

Gunshow Sports is more than just sport. It’s eyes and ears aimed at the entertainment industry.

A graduate from the University of Salford with a Masters degree in Journalism – I have previous experience in the news/sports industry  as an Editorial Assistant in Sports at the Greensboro News & Record in North Carolina, as well as doing numerous match reports and in-game updates for the Charlotte Independence (United Soccer League). I have been published on ManUtd.com and in various newspapers across Greater Manchester in the United Kingdom.

Currently I cover Lancashire Spinners basketball (England, National League 1) for the team’s website where I produce content and design the magazine Born & Red and social media graphics. I also contribute the Matchday round-up and match reports for St Mary’s Musings Southampton Football Club blog on SB Nation, and help manage the Twitter account (@StMarysMusings) providing updates, sharing news stories and interacting with followers.

I have also enjoyed time working in stock at Target and teaching guitar at Performance Music in Westfield, MA – home to Killswitch Engage and Within the Ruins.

I spend the majority of my time invested in sports either reading, writing, or watching from an extensive list including, but not exhausted to, American football, basketball, football, ice hockey, lacrosse, tennis, golf, volleyball and baseball. I am obsessed with collegiate athletics. Team wise, I support the likes of Southampton, the New England Patriots, Carolina Hurricanes and North Carolina Tar Heels. Individually, I support Raphael Nadal on the courts and Rickie Fowler on the course. I have a soft spot for the N.C. State Wolfpack women’s basketball team.

When I’m not surrounded by sports, I can be found playing video games, in the kitchen cooking a gigantic meal, playing guitar, writing poetry, or catching up on Made In Chelsea.

Other likes: flat brim hats, gym shorts, hoodies, tough tunes, and tweeting about a multitude of topics.
